A Reading to Benefit Seven Cities Writers Project which brings cost-free creative writing workshops to underserved communities in Hampton Roads. 7CWP director, poet Lisa Beech Hartz will read from her collection exploring the lives and work of visual artists. A wine and cheese reception to follow.

Lisa Beech Hartz is a poet and teacher in the Tidewater Region of Virginia. She directs Seven Cities Writers Project, which brings cost-free writing workshops to underserved communities. She currently guides a workshop in the Norfolk City Jail and a memoir workshop of the Jim Crow Era.
